At Four Sisters Farm, we prioritize regenerative agriculture by raising animals on pasture. Our animals roam freely outdoors, enjoying sunlight and fresh air, which results in healthier, better-tasting food for our customers. We believe in environmentally friendly practices that benefit the land and promote ecological balance.
Chickens are an important part of our farm due to their manure being at higher concentration of Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium (NPK) than most other manures. This makes it outstanding as a fertilizer for our pasture. Our method of moving the birds around in a chicken tractor (mobile pen) promotes ecological balance and improves soil health naturally by evenly spreading their manure across the field, and, in turn, allowing them to feed off fresh pasture.
